Nicky is an artist, designer and lecturer based in the North West of England. Since 1994 he has owned and managed Chester boutique studio Lemondrop Creative. In 2017 his illustrations for Marvellous Days Out achieved international recognition.

Nicky Thompson

Nicky has recently completed a set of artworks for the London Zoological Society in Regent’s Park. The collection consists of 6 new artworks. Prints, postcards and other merchandise are available exclusively from the London Zoo shop (physical and online).

London Zoo is an iconic British institution and a dream collaboration for me. It has been a joy working so closely with a fabulously talented team and developing a suite of artworks at such an important time for the zoo (2026 is their 200 year anniversary).
